Agatsuma Hiromitsu STANDARD SONGS feat. Sato Chikuzen 2018 ~Famous Songs Played with Shamisen and Piano~ Truly a live performance for adults. I enjoyed it thoroughly! The balance between Hiromitsu Agatsuma on shamisen, Chikuzen Sato (Sing Like Talking vocalist) on vocals, and Takuro Iga on piano was exquisitely good! All three are masters of their instruments, and I was overwhelmed. "Magnificent" is the only word. The MC segments were also enjoyable, with Agatsuma-san's calm talks and his interaction with Takezen-san, although I felt Takezen-san did 70% of the talking, but I was laughing throughout. We experienced a new world of music, unbound by genres or Japanese/Western styles, including standards, J-POP, Japanese folk songs, Spanish music, Jamaican music, and, of course, the origin, Tsugaru Jonkara Bushi. Everyone knows the outstanding abilities of the three, but I think it has reached the realm of art because it is so overwhelming. I want more people to know about it. It's not Agatsuma-san's solo live performance as usual, so you won't be completely full with Tsugaru shamisen, but I was fully satisfied with Takezen-san's wonderful vocals and Iga-san's beautiful piano! I wanted to listen to everyone's talk and music forever! It was a live performance that made me sincerely wish it wouldn't end.
