It all started with a simple mixer and a set of CD decks. Marcus Nordli and Kenth Kvien developed an interest in electronic music early on, looking up to the major DJs. As time passed, they both started DJing and met at a local party in Oslo, Norway (2004). They became friends, and Kenth soon became interested in producing music after Marcus, who had been producing cheesy dance music for a couple of years. They started producing together, with Kenth learning from Marcus and vice versa. Initially, they focused on hard trance, then hard house/techno. However, it wasn’t until the fall of 2007 that they began their "career" as hardstyle producers. After completing their first two hardstyle tracks (Angeli Domini and Crowsong), they sent them to a few labels. That's when things started to happen! Marcus searched for "Da Tweekaz" on Google and discovered that both songs had been leaked all over Russian, Polish, and German MP3 sites. While this might seem bad, people started noticing the songs. Da Tweekaz quickly became a known name in the (internet) scene. So, they continued making more tracks, spending more time on each one and striving for originality. Eventually, they were contacted by DJ's United Records, marking their first official release. As of now, they're still working in their small bedroom studio each week, experimenting with synths and software, trying to achieve an original sound within the hardstyle community, hoping to one day perform at a major gig in Holland.
