His innovative and bold style has earned him recognition, leading to DJing and music production work for haute couture shows like “Yves Saint Laurent”, “Chanel”, “Jean Paul Gaultier”, and “Playboy”. As a remixer, he has worked with over 100 artists, including Bjork, Quincy Jones, Brand New Heavies, New Order, The Cardigans, James Brown, Masters At Work, and Frankie Knuckles. His debut album “Sacre Blue”, released in 1996, and the DJ mix CD “A Night At Playboy Mansion” both sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Furthermore, “Dimitri From Paris In The House” released by Defected (UK) exceeded 30,000 copies in Japan and achieved record-breaking sales worldwide as a DJ mix CD. Subsequently, he has released a range of works balancing overground and underground sounds, including “Super Disco Friends” (Headphone Heroes/UK) focusing on Disco Breaks with DJ Muro, “In The House Of Love” (Defected/UK) themed around the dance floor and “Love”, “Cocktail Disco” (BBE/UK) themed around cocktails, “Return To The Playboy Mansion” (Defected/UK), and “Night Dubbin'” (BBE/UK) a collaboration with Idjut Boys spotlighting disco dub, garnering a strong and consistent following from both mainstream and core audiences. With a clear concept that is never swayed by trends, he is one of the few artists who continues to pursue the possibilities of DJing and is followed by dance music fans around the world. In May 2010, he released “Get Down With The Philly Sound” (BBE/UK), a Philadelphia disco sound compilation that embodies the true essence of the Dimitri sound.
