DJ MINOYAMA

DJ MINOYAMA started his DJ career in 1997. Nominated for the Best DJ Award at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025. He is a hip-hop DJ currently active, expanding his reach nationwide, mainly in Yokohama and Tokyo. In New York, he has experience as a guest performer at Props, a party hosted by Rich Medina (Rock Steady Crew), and as an opening act for CAMP LO at the long-established Brooklyn live house KNITTING FACTORY. While adhering to hip-hop etiquette, he freely manipulates soul, funk, R&B, disco, and house music. His blending of tracks is an art form, creating a beautiful, seamless flow. The soulful groove produced by his mixing skills makes even unfamiliar songs move your body naturally, leaving the best afterglow. Since 2020, he has been the resident DJ for a weekly R&B party on Wednesdays at Shimokitazawa COUNTER CLUB. While performing as a club DJ in numerous venues, his selection of music for dance battles and rap battles is highly regarded by his peers. Furthermore, his numerous released MIX CD classics fetch high prices on the used market, continuing to expand his fanbase among a wide range of music lovers.
