JIKOOHA
Jikooha, meaning "the wave of time and space" in Japanese, is a trance music project based in Tokyo. Formed by Jun and Shimodi, who previously played in a punk and new wave influenced alternative rock band in the early '90s, they discovered Goa Trance in 1996 and established Jikooha in 1997 to produce their own trance tracks. Remaining committed to their unique blend of Goa Trance and punk rock influences, Jikooha's eclectic sound showcases their love for all music. They utilize various analog gears such as the Arp Odyssey, Roland Juno-106, TB-303, SH-101, and Korg MS-20, often experimenting in their unique Goa tunes, a process they see as a search for a spiritual journey. Jikooha has performed at numerous parties since 1999 and contributed tracks to various compilations, receiving positive feedback. In 2003, they released their first album, "New Breed," on Tod Aquarium Records in Japan, followed by their second album, "Shamanarchy," on Panorama Records in 2006. Two years later, with their tracks becoming more melodic and acidic, their third album, "Revolution Spaceship," was released, again on Panorama Records. They also released their fourth album, "Sirius Rising," in 2012. Currently, they are working on new tracks for their upcoming album.
