JO1 is a Japanese 10-member boy group. They are affiliated with LAPONE Entertainment, a joint venture between Japan's Yoshimoto Kogyo and South Korean entertainment company CJ ENM. They were formed by the 11 winners of the Japanese version of the popular South Korean audition program "PRODUCE 101," titled "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN," and debuted on March 4, 2020, with the song "Mugendai" from the single "PROTOSTAR."
