This was my first time seeing Ms. Junko live. I was mesmerized by her soaring high notes. The performance featured only piano and guitar, which I felt highlighted her beautiful singing voice even more (although I imagine a live band would have a powerful and different appeal). During her talk, Ms. Junko mentioned that "Sayonara no Kotoba" (Words of Farewell) didn't sell very well back then, but I bought the album (LP) at the time and listened to it often, and it was one of my favorite songs. I felt very nostalgic and was happy to hear it. Ms. Junko also shared a fun story about jogging from her hotel down Honmachi street on the morning of the concert and seeing the live poster in front of the hall. She said a woman who was passing by spoke to her (referring to the electronic bulletin board in front of the hall), and when she told her, "I'm singing here today," she expected the woman to be surprised, but instead, she simply replied, "Sounds good!" I enjoyed hearing all of these stories.
