It was my first Kaori Kishitani live performance. I completely forgot to prepare beforehand and went knowing almost none of her songs, so I couldn't get into it at all. It's my fault for forgetting to prepare. But I think I recognized about 20-30% of the songs. Before the show started, Sheryl Crow's songs were playing in the venue. Country-ish? I wonder if she likes that kind of music? I personally like "Real Gone," the theme song from Cars. The first song after the show started was Princess Princess's "Dear." The performance was a recorded keyboard track, I think. The Unlocked the girls members sang a cappella without playing any instruments. To be honest, I didn't know the song, but I was drawn in by the sudden a cappella performance. After that, they performed two more songs and then had the first MC (talk). Apparently, last year's tour was a great success, and she was looking for a live performance that could surpass it, so she decided to take requests. The next song was also requested, but she didn't want to do it because it was her "dark history," but she ended up letting the girls listen to it, and it was well-received. So, she changed the arrangement to be closer to the Western music that Kaori likes. So, after the MC, it was "Hypnotized." She seemed to have made it closer to Kaori's favorite dance number, but when I listened to the original song, I didn't feel much of a difference in the arrangement, it felt almost the same. I thought it was pretty good, but it was her "dark history"... Apparently, it's now her "white history." After that, she performed two songs, one old and one new, and then had the second MC. She talked about the local areas she visited on tour, but the longest part was when she talked about her TV appearances. She apparently had a lot of complaints. I'm sure it's something that can't be put on the media. After the MC, she started with a new song and performed three songs. I was happy because the third song was "Julian." I don't think she often performs it with a band. In the following MC, she talked about her new song "marble." It seems that the song was originally written quite a while ago, and she found it when she was making the album and wanted Hitoto Yo to write the lyrics. After the MC, starting with "marble," she continued to perform upbeat numbers such as the hit songs "Diamonds," "STAY BLUE," and "GUITAR MAN," and finally "Bodyguard." In the last MC of the main performance, she talked about the song selection. Apparently, she included songs with chorus. Certainly, there was an impression that there were many background choruses. The last song of the main performance was Princess Princess's "REGRET"! I was glad to hear it because it's one of my favorite songs. For the encore, guitarist Yuko got married, so they performed "Wedding Bell Blues," and also "One," which is another song with chorus, and apparently the first time they've included a chorus in a live performance, even with Princess Princess. I knew the flow of the live performance roughly from looking at past setlists, so I thought it would end here, but there were calls for a double encore. Then the members appeared and performed "Happy Man," which was also requested by the audience, as the last song. After the performance, there was a member introduction (which Kaori had forgotten), and the show ended. The show was about two and a half hours long. The MC was long! Well, it was interesting, and I was able to hear some frank talk, so it was good? But I'm the type who wants to hear more songs, so I wish they would have added a bit more content... Well, it's best to do what you want. The singing didn't feel as strange as it does on TV, but "Diamonds" and "STAY BLUE" were definitely a bit too idiosyncratic. Is it because of the high range? I'm sure "Sekai de Ichiban Atsui Natsu" and "19 GROWING UP" would be amazing. Well, band performances are rare on tour, so there are few opportunities to hear them. But I want to hear them. Next year's tour has also been announced, so I wonder if I can hear them there... I'm wondering whether to go again. I didn't know most of the songs, but I enjoyed it. But because I wasn't feeling well, I wasn't able to get into it as much. Next time, I want to participate in better physical condition.
