Upon entering the arena, the massive stage setup immediately caught my eye. The stage incorporated crystal-like materials, with a giant crystal mountain at the center, symbolizing their new album "THE GREATEST UNKNOWN." The audience was treated to a visually stunning stage design. King Gnu's performance was outstanding, but those unfamiliar with their music might not fully appreciate the live show. As is typical for them, they significantly rearrange their songs for live performances. King Gnu fans relish these differences between the recorded and live versions. The band members consistently encourage audience participation through singing, which completes their performance. "Hikoutei" (Flight Deck) was particularly impactful, with the entire audience singing together, creating a powerful sense of unity. The non-musical aspects of the show were also impressive. They incorporated flames and lighting to enhance the excitement. To ensure everyone could see the band members, even those seated far from the stage, they used numerous cameras to capture vivid images of the performers and stage action. This visual direction was handled by the creative label responsible for all of King Gnu's music videos. I was deeply moved by their performance. If you haven't attended one of their concerts, you definitely should. You can get a glimpse of the venue's atmosphere by watching parts of the live performance on their YouTube channel.
