MIKRIS

From the industrial area of Chuo Ward, Chiba Prefecture, MIKRIS is originally from Suzuka. He is known as the angry man 'MIKRIS', whose real name is Miki Tomoaki. Since his youth, he was exposed to BLACK MUSIC, and by the time he was 15, he formed a RAP GROUP with his classmates. His unique sensibility and natural vocal quality were one-of-a-kind originals, but opportunities as a RAPPER did not come easily. Then, when he turned 20, a fateful encounter occurred. It was just before the release of the NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND's ALBUM, when he met DELI, a RAPPER from the same Chiba Prefecture. Recognizing his talent, he accompanied DELI on a nationwide TOUR spanning 30 locations as a HYPEMAN. His rare talent began to spread nationwide. This was when he was 21 years old. Afterwards, he signed a DEAL with DELI's established LABEL 'CHICHIKA PRO' and released his much-anticipated SOLO EP 'WHO'S THE MADSKILL？！(2003)'. During the middle of the nationwide CLUB&IN STORE LIVE TOUR 'TEAM44BLOX JAPAN TOUR' covering 60 locations, he released his 1ST ALBUM 'M.A.D. (2005)', announcing his presence in Chiba Prefecture and nationwide. Due to his original STYLE, he has performed with famous ARTISTS such as DELI, DABO, MURO, GORE-TEX, XBS, MACKA-CHIN, JHETT a.k.a.YAKKO, DJ MASTERKEY, D.O.I, MICROPHONE PAGER, E.G.G.MAN, K DUB SHINE, MICHICO, and TINA. He has also competed with popular ARTISTS such as B.D THE BROBUS, D.O, MARS MANIE, SIMON, DJ NOBU a.k.a.BOMBRUSH!, and AKANE. He has also produced numerous STREET MIXTAPES and launched his own LABEL 'THE DOG HOUSE MUSIC'. Despite no promotion or distribution, it has generated much discussion and achieved total sales of over 10,000 copies. In a scene where many MCs are emerging, MIKRIS continues to provide FRESH and original HIPHOP consistently. However, it is still difficult to say that he has received 'true recognition'. People refer to his STYLE like this: HE IS MAAAAAAD!!!
