MITAYO

A DJ based in Sapporo who has been active since 2005. With a background in techno and house, MITAYO omnivorously chews and digests odd time signatures, dub, bass, space, acid, and glitch, metabolizing them into sounds that create hedonistic dance floors. MITAYO irregularly hosts a 7-hour long set called "RETROSPECTIVE" at Sapporo's PRECIOUS HALL. Expanding the field to deep listening, MITAYO also participates in "Auditory Lounge," held on the FN floor which specializes in PRECIOUS HALL's internal acoustics, and irregularly presides over "Datsuryoku Ongakkai (De-energized Music Party)" at "Spice Hole Mujina," a venue that MITAYO manages. MITAYO has established themself as a unique DJ in the music city of Sapporo.
