NORI moved to the US in 1986 and gained experience playing alongside LARRY LEVAN. He appeared in the film "MAESTRO" as a pioneer who had the greatest influence on the world's dance music scene. In 2006, he released his first mix album, "LOFT MIX." In 2009, he held "DJ NORI 30TH ANNIVERSARY," a culmination of his career, achieving an unprecedented 30-hour long set. Since June 2013, he has started a new party, <Tree>, at Aoyama ZERO. In the same year, he released "Spirit Of Sunshine – Nori’s West End Mix," a mix of <Salsoul> and <West End> tracks, from <OCTAVE LAB>, which became a popular series overseas. He also has a deep relationship with the prodigious producer Maurice Fulton, and the EP "We Don't Know EP" <Running Back / Bubbletease Communications>, which includes songs co-produced with Maurice during his visit to Japan, has been highly praised both domestically and internationally, and he is also active in music production. With over 35 years of experience as a DJ, he continues to actively appear on the radio, perform overseas in London and New York, and host regular parties <GALLERY> and <TREE>. His way of playing music and the method of expressing the music itself are the reasons why he is called a global treasure.
