大橋トリオ
I've heard him as a guest on a radio show and also caught his songs on the radio before. The name Ohashi Trio itself felt a bit unusual, which made me curious about him. The first album I picked up to listen to his music was a best-of album released in 2014. It's a good place for beginners to start, right? Among those tracks, I was drawn to 'COVER BEST.' I thought, "Wow, he does it like this," as I enjoyed listening, but the cover of Tomoyasu Hotei's 'Last Scene' was especially shocking. I feel bad for Hotei himself, but it was an amazing rendition! It's completely different, and the melancholic atmosphere is irresistible! That encounter with such a striking song led me to listen to his other works. However, I must confess that because I really like the overall atmosphere, I tend to listen somewhat passively, and I haven't always recognized the song titles. Then I started wanting to go to one of his live performances. That's what led to this recent concert. I couldn't prepare by listening to his new album 'THUNDERBIRD,' but I was really hooked on Izawa-san's synthesizer-based electric sound. I discovered that this voice, which I had only heard with acoustic-based sounds until now, actually works so well with electric sounds. I want to get the new album and listen to it thoroughly! And I definitely want to attend again! *Regarding the Wakabayashi Ward Cultural Center: There are far too few parking spaces. Even the staff member said that there are only 40 parking spaces for a concert with a capacity of 800 people. It was hilarious! Thanks to that, I was late for the start of a concert for the first time in my life. If I remember correctly, Ohashi-san's concert was also at the Wakabayashi Ward Cultural Center last year. For a similar scale, Izumi-ティ21 would be better, wouldn't it? It's within walking distance from the subway station, and there are relatively many parking lots nearby. I understand if it's a venue near a station, but since it's so far from the nearest station, I thought, "There would be plenty of parking," but there were only 40 spaces (laughs). I really hope for a different venue next time.
