I made a day trip from Sapporo to attend the afternoon performance. It was my first Red Warriors live show, and I wondered if Yūkai hasn't aged at all! His vocal power, style, and stage presence were just like in the old days, a fully active rock and roller. Of course, I was also able to fully enjoy Shake's guitar playing. During "John," a song my ex-girlfriend used to love, I was overcome with emotion and unexpectedly cried at that phrase of Yūkai's acoustic guitar during the interlude. (lol) After that, it was a parade of their signature songs, and the vertical jumping dance with the whole venue during "Monkey Dancing" was so much fun! I had checked the setlist from Ōmiya beforehand, and I was glad I got to hear "Outsider" this time. In any case, it was the best live performance, exceeding my expectations from beginning to end. I wanted the Jack Daniel's-style T-shirt as merchandise, but it was sold out on the official website, so I was hoping I might be able to buy it at the venue, but as expected, it wasn't there. After hesitating, I bought the first album jacket T-shirt, but I was embarrassed by the bare breasts and changed my clothes at the airport on the way home (lol). Yūkai said "See you next year!" at the end, and I really hope they do it again next year. If possible, I'd like them to come to Hokkaido on a nationwide tour.
