He is a quiet revolutionary at the forefront of modern dance music, living a perfectly techno lifestyle while traveling the world. He began DJing in late '87 and producing tracks at the same time. After a fateful meeting with longtime ally John Acquaviva, he established 'Plus 8,' named after the fastest position on the turntable's pitch control (+8), which became a legendary techno label. In the '90s, he catapulted to the center of the scene with the global hit "Technarchy" released under the name Cybersonik. His innovative tracks at the 1995 GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL caused a sensation, resonating his name worldwide and pushing Richie to charismatic status. Since then, he has always reigned as a techno icon. In June 2004, he also resumed live performances as "Plastikman."
