Space Battleship Yamato (Uchū Senkan Yamato) is a science fiction anime broadcast on the Nippon Television network in 1974, produced by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation, and a compilation anime film released in theaters in 1977. It is the first work in the "Space Battleship Yamato series." It is commonly known as "the first work," "Yamato," "Yamato 1," or "Part 1."
