Ghost in the Shell (Japanese: 攻殻機動隊, Hepburn: Kōkaku Kidōtai) is a manga series by Masamune Shirow. It was serialized in Young Magazine Pirate Edition from 1989 to 1990, and a collected volume was released in 1991. Its genre is SF (including parallel worlds).
