VELOCITY
In February 2003, Velocity participated in the establishment of 7NiNE Productions, which is composed of DJs, designers, and VJs. In the same year, with the launch of the monthly drum and bass party ZERO organized by 7NiNE Productions, Velocity became a resident DJ at Shibuya Womb. In 2008, Velocity participated in the first C.N.S (CDJ New Style) Battle hosted by Pioneer, skillfully operating the CDJ, mixer, and effects, and demonstrated his exceptional skills, earning second place and proving his top-tier abilities in Japan. His original tunes have received support from renowned DJs such as Marky, Bailey, Bryan Gee, Fabio, Random Movement, Makoto, Lenzman, and A-Sides, and have even been played on BBC Radio 1 by Friction. The track 'Velocity & Key MC - Ladder' released by HE:Digital was included in the album 'Something We Can Do,' which reached No. 1 on the iTunes Store Japan Electronic chart and ranked in the top 20 on the Beatport single chart. In 2011, Velocity released his first four-track EP, 'Concentration EP,' which generated much attention. In 2014, he made his UK debut at innerSoul @ Plan B. In 2016, 'Velocity - Jelly Break' reached No. 1 on the Juno Records vinyl sales chart. That same year, he released 'Night Owl EP' on Makoto's label 'Human Elements' and 'Satl & Velocity - Set It Out' on Fokuz Recordings, with the latter being selected for the Drum & Bass Arena's annual best compilation. In 2017, the vinyl release of 'Velocity & Key - Rebirth' began, and he has since released tracks worldwide. Currently, he has releases planned on labels such as Innerground (by DJ Marky), as well as from Japan, the UK, the US, Greece, Germany, and other countries around the world.
