Innocence is a Japanese animated theatrical film directed by Mamoru Oshii. It was released nationwide on March 6, 2004, through the Toho-Towa distribution network. It is a sequel to the 1995 animated film "Ghost in the Shell" also directed by Oshii, and this work marks his return as an anime director after about nine years since the release of the previous film.
