Don Quixote
*Don Quixote* (Spanish: *Don Quijote*, *Don Quixote*) is a novel by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes. It is the story of a nobleman (Alonso Quijano) who loses his grip on reality and the distinction between fiction and reality due to reading too many chivalric romances, and sets out on a journey of adventure, naming himself "Don Quixote de la Mancha" and appointing himself a knight-errant. The first part was published on January 16, 1605, and the second part was published in 1615.
