Low-pass filter
A low-pass filter (LPF), is a type of filter that allows signals with frequencies lower than a cutoff frequency to pass through with little attenuation, while attenuating signals with frequencies higher than the cutoff frequency. It is also sometimes called a high-cut filter. In other words, it is a filter that blocks higher frequencies and allows lower frequencies to pass through.
