YAMATO (Basara-ZA)

사운드 디자이너 / DJ / Logic 공인 기술자. 10대부터 작곡을 시작하여 연간 100곡 이상의 음악을 제작. 지금까지 House, Techno, Trance, R&B 등 장르에 구애받지 않고 오리지널 작품을 제공해 왔다. 10대는 록에서 메탈, 펑크, 팝에 이르기까지 다양한 밴드의 드러머로 라이브 경험을 쌓았지만, 댄스 뮤직으로 표현할 수 있는 가능성을 느끼고 DJ로서 커리어를 시작했다. 도쿄 주요 클럽인 AIR, WOMB을 중심으로 활동하며 2010년, 2011년 Purple Fiction@ageHa에 출연. 2007년에 맹우 ALPH ZEN과 트랙 메이킹, 라이브 유닛 Basara-ZA를 결성. 주로 스튜디오 작업 및 라이브 활동을 하며, 속속 작품을 발표. 2009년 2E2L Recordings에서 「Broken Woman EP」「Let's Go To Bed EP」「Slip Of The Tongue EP」, 2010년에는 「Romance EP」「Courtship Dance EP」를 연이어 릴리스. 특히 「Romance EP」는 국내외 아티스트로부터 많은 찬사를 받았다. 또한, 9월에 Citta Music에서 「Racing Demons EP」를 릴리스. 같은 해 11월에 「Urban Warrior EP」를 릴리스하고, 2011년 1월에 「Just After Midnight EP」를 발매했으며, 2012년 봄 TOTEM TRAXX에서 OMB 「FALCON」의 Basara-ZA 리믹스가 릴리스될 예정이다. 앞으로도 씬의 중요 레이블에서 속속 음악 릴리스를 앞두고 있다. 끊임없이 진화하는 yamatomato의 향후 움직임에 주목해야 한다. http://www.myspace.com/yamatomato http://www.myspace.com/basarazamusic 2011 Beatport released 1.Just After Midnight 2010 Beatport released 1.
