YARD BEAT

YARD BEAT is a sound system representing Yokohama and Japan, formed in 2007. Their diverse lineup consists of DESEM (MC/SEL), MITCHI (MC), TAKA (SEL/MC), and ARTS (SEL). They own the SOUND SYSTEM HOLY BOX (a mobile speaker system). With a wide selection of music, both old and new, and straightforward MCing, they consistently deliver a hot sound, actively performing both domestically and internationally. They are particularly energetic in sound clashes, leveraging their dubplates to seize numerous titles and trophies. They achieved Japan's first-ever clash 3-win streak in 2009 at "SOUND WAR," and demonstrated an overwhelming skill difference at "DEAD THIS TIME" in 2010. In both 2009 and 2010, they participated in New York's "GLOBAL CLASH" for two consecutive years, putting up a good fight against world-class competitors. In 2011, they secured their first overseas victory trophy at "MODERN WARFARE" held in Germany. Furthermore, in the same year, they participated in "BROOKLYN SHOWDOWN" in Brooklyn (NY), the mecca of sound clashes, and achieved a brilliant victory, bringing back two trophies from two continents to Japan in a single year. At the end of 2012, they participated in the battle to determine Japan's No. 1 clash sound, "頂上~Who A Di Baddest Japanese Sound Killer~" held in Osaka. Despite being away from home, they achieved a great victory. YARD BEAT also actively maintains its regular dance events "RISE UP" & "SPRING BREAK," among others. They are a pure clash sound that is attracting attention not only in the domestic scene but also overseas. In 2012, Desem launched the label "ARROW MAN RECORDS." They have also been actively involved in production work, releasing numerous songs such as the debut album "THE FIRST CHAPTER" by the rising star KAAGO, and the digital one-way album "HANABI RIDDIM."
